Forklift Training for Trainers

BONUS! Aerial Work Platforms (Scissor Lifts and Boom Trucks) — What Are My Obligations?
Come learn from an expert with decades of experience! OSHA's General Industry Standard 1910.178(1) states that "only trained and authorized operators shall be permitted to operate a powered industrial truck. Methods shall be devised to train operators in the safe operation of powered industrial trucks." This half-day classroom workshop will provide you with the technical expertise needed to safely operate forklift equipment, safe driving procedures and will qualify you to conduct an effective training session.

There is a lot of confusion about requirements for the Aerial Work Platforms and it’s becoming more and more common in manufacturing and maintenance applications, including boom trucks and scissor lifts. OSHA is vague on the issue, but there are ANSI standards that apply. We’ll discuss the requirements for operator training and fall protection, as well as resources for more information.
