Basic Scaffolding

This course is designed for individuals who work with scaffolding systems and need information on the hazards, hazard control methods and standards that relate to this equipment. Attendees will learn the OSHA requirements for scaffolds, as well as scaffold load requirements, inspection requirements, hazards of scaffold work, fall protection requirements and scaffolding terminology. A South Dakota OSHA compliance officer will visit the class for approximately 30 minutes to answer any questions that attendees may have, so please write down questions and bring them with you!

Members: $75.00 plus tax
Nonmembers: $100.00 plus tax

Amber has an Associate's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University as well as two Bachelor of Science degrees from South Dakota State University (Agriculture/Animal Science and Biological Science). She is an OSHA Authorized General Industry Trainer and has a certificate in Safety Inspection Techniques from the OSHA Training Institute in San Diego. Amber has also earned the South Dakota Workplace Safety Certificate and the National Safety Council's Advanced Safety Certificate. Shes also a certified First Aid/ CPR/AED Instructor. Amber's hands-on experience includes 10 years as a health, safety, security and environmental manager.
