Assistance With DOT Compliance
Commercial Vehicle Operators Alert
Recent announcements from the Department of Transportation (DOT) indicate there will be increased enforcement of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. State and federal field investigators have been instructed to devote time to conducting more probing compliance reviews. Compliance reviews will now result in penalties up to $10,000 per violation. If your company operates a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating over 10,000 pounds, operates a vehicle with over 16 people capacity, or transports hazardous material, you are subject to these rules.
Questions:
Are you ready for an audit by the DOT?
Can your company afford that kind of fine?
If the answer to either of those questions is "no" or "I don't know," there is a way you can prepare for the inevitable audit. An on-site half-day review will provide you with:
- Information on how to prepare and what to expect during an actual audit
- Effective compliance procedures to assure a satisfactory review with no resulting penalties
- Common sense and real world solutions to compliance problems
- Interpretations of the rules and regulations relating to your specific operation
- Detailed information for compliance with complicated regulations including driver qualification, driver files and records, vehicle maintenance records, accident reporting, alcohol and drug testing and more.
