Operation Lifesaver
Operation Lifesaver is a nationwide education program aimed at preventing and reducing crashes, injuries and fatalities at the nation's highway-rail grade crossings.
South Dakota Operation Lifesaver is a cooperative effort of the South Dakota Safety Council, the railroads of South Dakota, state agencies and other organizations to lessen these needless tragedies.
Free presentations are available for schools, clubs, civic organizations, professional drivers and other interested groups. These programs detail how and why grade crossing collisions occur, and what you can do to prevent them. Videos, brochures and other educational materials on highway-rail crossing safety are also available. For more information, contact Connie Greguson.
