South Dakota Safety Council: SafeLife

The South Dakota Safety Council would like to introduce you to… SafeLife® Kids Did you know that more children lose their lives each year due to preventable injuries than all childhood diseases combined? SafeLife® Kids was created in response to this realization and is taught in local 4th grade classrooms through an interactive multi-week curriculum. Each week's topic focuses specifically on issues affecting the well-being of children. Volunteers teach the class in an open format that encourages group discussion and feedback. Topics such as Internet safety, personal safety, violence prevention, decision making, occupant restraint, water safety, emergency medical situations, pedestrian safety, and outdoor recreational safety are addressed through discussion and engaging group activities. Your business's logo will be prominently displayed in tandem with the South Dakota Safety Council's logo on the classroom material. In addition, a special listing of SafeLife® Kids business partners will be included in our Memo to Members newsletter as well as at our booth during our annual South Dakota Safety and Health Conference.
