The South Dakota Safety Council Lunch and Learn is a great way for members to learn about current safety trends, best practice, OSHA updates, and to network with local safety professionals over lunch.

Please join us for May’s Lunch and Learn with Catelyn Reimnitz from the Helpline Center as she talks to us about Suicide Prevention.

Catelyn Reimnitz is the Suicide Prevention Coordinator at Helpline Center. She offers direct support to schools and their students through Hope Squad. She also facilitates suicide prevention trainings across the state of South Dakota. She has received a master’s in forensic psychology. She is passionate about connecting people with resources to promote their overall wellbeing and educating them on what to do when they come across someone in need.

QPR (question, persuade, prefer) is a mental health training that will provide you with statistics and facts on suicide nationally and in South Dakota. It will help you become more aware of warning signs and give you the tools you can use to start the conversation about suicide.
