Description
The Intangible It, examines the “it” quality movie stars possess that you can’t quite put your finger on… or can you? By sharing humorous and humbling tales of his own Tinseltown adventures, Jack breaks down the “it” factor that makes certain actors superstars and shares how you can use those lessons to become a star in your profession. Along this journey, you’ll learn about The Gift and how to channel your inner-Clooney to make everyone you encounter feel like the most important person in the room. We’ll examine The Shift by exploring the secret sauce that has given Tom Hanks such career longevity in an ever-changing industry. And with The Connect we will dive into ways you can be more memorable to anyone you meet — and it might be as simple as wearing a Dolly Parton tee shirt. For real. This presentation delivers the fun and humor you want with the applicable takeaways that you just might need.

Workforce wearables can go beyond biometrics and fitness, tracking useable data that’s relevant to employee safety and focused on the environment around an employee, not the employee themselves. This data includes environmental hazards, slips/trips/falls/, strain and exertion ergo concerns, location/proximity, and voice reported good-catches, providing a more complete picture of workplace risk. What three words would you use to describe your organization’s safety training? Do these words energize and inspire you to advocate for safety and health? Or do they feel cold? Does your training create safety “zombies” or safety “heroes”? Many organizations use a ritualistic and mechanical approach to safety training, draining the life out of their safety and health program. But with current workforce challenges, traditional methods such as lectures, videos, and computer-based learning are not impactful, and can often result in a mindless experience. This session will share ten strategies to help organizations go beyond the rituals, breathe life back into safety training, and inspire and energize their teams to be safety heroes.
