Workers are provided with general awareness about recognizing and preventing hazards commonly found in the workplace. OSHA recommends this training as an orientation to occupational safety and health. This course is intended for entry-level workers. The 10-hour Hazard Awareness Course provides basic awareness training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards. Workers can receive additional training on hazards specific to their job. Ten hours of mandatory and optional topics will be covered.
OSHA Training Institute will issue course completion cards to each student. Students wanting to teach others the curriculum must take the OSHA 511 and OSHA 501.

Cancellations received prior to 3 business days of the event will receive a full refund. No refunds will be made after three business days prior to the course. This policy will be enforced, so please plan if you need to cancel your attendance. No refunds will be made on uncancelled registrations or no-shows. Substitutions are accepted at any time. We reserve the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment, or other circumstances which would make the event nonviable. If we cancel an event, registrants will be given a full refund.
Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) Classes
Per OSHA's guidelines for VILT courses, students are required to have video capabilities and must be visible at all times to the instructor and facilitator during the class. Unfortunately, if a student cannot comply with this requirement, they will not be able to attend the class. Students are required to attend all days and times in order to receive an OSHA outreach completion card. Students must use a desktop or laptop to participate. Tablets or phones are not allowed.
